Terms of Service

Passkallet lets you create and use smart wallets on a blockchain, secured by passkeys (WebAuthn) on your own device. It is software that helps you interact with public blockchains and smart contracts. Passkallet is not a bank, broker, exchange, custodian, or money transmitter, and it does not provide financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.

Passkallet is non-custodial. This is the most important thing to understand:

• Your wallet is controlled by passkeys stored on your device. Known Distance never holds your private keys and never takes custody of your funds.
• Only you can authorize transactions. We cannot move, freeze, or recover your assets on your behalf, and we cannot reverse a transaction once it is submitted to the blockchain.
• You are solely responsible for keeping access to your passkeys and any recovery methods you set up. If you lose access to all of them, we may be unable to help you regain access to your wallet or funds.
• You are responsible for verifying the details of every transaction (recipient, amount, network) before you approve it.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and legally able to enter into these Terms. You must not use Passkallet if you are barred from doing so under any applicable law or sanctions program.

You sign in through a third-party identity provider (such as Google or Apple) via Firebase Authentication. You are responsible for the security of the sign-in method you use and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Transactions you authorize are recorded on a public blockchain and are, by their nature, permanent and irreversible. Neither Known Distance nor anyone else can undo, cancel, or refund a confirmed on-chain transaction. Blockchain networks may also experience congestion, forks, downtime, or bugs outside our control, which can delay or affect transactions.

Passkallet may charge a fee for certain operations, shown to you before you confirm. Fees are payable in the applicable token and are deducted as part of the transaction. Fees already charged for a completed operation are non-refundable. Third-party network costs, where applicable, are separate and also non-refundable.

You agree not to use Passkallet to:

• Break any law or regulation, or facilitate illegal activity, money laundering, terrorist financing, or sanctions evasion.
• Infringe anyone's rights, or attempt to defraud, deceive, or harm others.
• Interfere with, disrupt, attack, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service, its infrastructure, or other users.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or misuse the service except as permitted by law.

If you use Passkallet through an organization that integrates our technology, or if you operate such an organization, additional terms apply. Organizations are responsible for their end-users, for securing their API keys, and for complying with all laws applicable to their integration. API keys are shown once and must be kept secret; you are responsible for activity performed with your keys.

Passkallet relies on third parties (such as identity providers, blockchain networks, and RPC/infrastructure providers) and interacts with smart contracts and assets we do not control. We are not responsible for third-party services, for the smart contracts or tokens you choose to interact with, or for losses arising from them. Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms.

Passkallet is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that it will meet your requirements. You use Passkallet at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Known Distance and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of funds, assets, profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of Passkallet — including losses caused by your own errors, lost access to passkeys, blockchain behavior, or third parties. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Known Distance from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of Passkallet, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

You may stop using Passkallet at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the service or other users. Because Passkallet is non-custodial, your on-chain assets remain controlled by your passkeys regardless of your access to our interface.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Your continued use of Passkallet after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Known Distance's place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, unless a mandatory law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
